To conduct a Research Project entitled: “Reducing environmental damage following urea application in pastures by using a bio-inoculant” as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
• AGMARDT’s three years postdoctoral fellowship; this grant is awarded every year to two early career scientists in New Zealand ($285,000 for three years, started from January 2013). Grant number: 1360.
To conduct a Research Project entitled: “Suppressing urease production to improve plant nitrogen use efficiency by exploiting Trichoderma inhibition of urease producing soil microorganisms” as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
• Iranian government’s scholarship (to undertake a MSc degree for two years started from September 2003).

• Identification and quantification of soil microorganisms (including fungi and bacteria) using polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based molecular methods as well as their biochemical and morphological features tests
• Biologically active metabolites from either microorganisms or plants
• Antifungal proteins, protein purification
• Discovery of enzyme inhibitors
• Seed biology and technology
• Isolation & identification of fatty acids in nut’s oil and determination of their positional distribution in the oil
• Plant pathology
• Biological control of plant diseases by antagonists
• Characterization of common bean root nodulating rhizobia and other bacteria (such as phytopathogenic bacteria).
